Fifth Annual Miriam Foundation Car Raffle
Raises $170,000 for People with Intellectual Disabilities

Excited raffle ticket holders were treated to delicious cocktails catered by Ernie the Caterer at the Lori Black Community Centre as they awaited for the Fifth Annual Miriam Foundation
Car Raffle, emceed by Dr. Joe Schwarcz from CJAD. Our canvassers sold more tickets than in previous years which helped raise close to $170,000. Funds will be used to support the over 600 children, adults and seniors with intellectual disabilities presently receiving services from Miriam Home and Services. The tension mounted as the final eliminations were made and an ecstatic Dominic Roy of Diamond Taxi claimed the third prize of a $5,000 gift certificate for Lou Goldberg Jewellers. The Fifth Annual Miriam Foundation Car Raffle was sponsored by Le Groupe Gravel, Gusdorf, and Lou Goldberg Jewellers and would not have
been possible without the services of Toni Bessner of Bessner and Bessner Communications.

Established in 1970, the Miriam Foundation raises much-needed funds for Miriam Home and Services. Often cited as a model agency, Miriam Home and Services offers innovative and effective initiatives that foster social integration for children, adults and seniors living with intellectual disabilities. Currently, over 600 people with varying levels of developmental delays receive vocational, rehabilitative and residential services from Miriam Home and Services.
